Your kindness has brought comfort and happiness to the children. Moments like this remind us that love and compassion can travel across the world and touch lives in the most beautiful way. Yesterday, I celebrated Mother’s Day at the Nect Yesterday, I celebrated Mother’s Day at the Nectar Orphanage Home with the woman who gave so many of us a mother’s love when we had nowhere else to turn. Growing up at the orphanage, Mama always made sure we were fed and cared for. Even to this day, the very first thing she asks me whenever I visit is, “W’adidi?” (Have you eaten?). Even though she is suffering from a stroke that has affected her speech, she still makes the “eating sign” to ask if I have eaten.🥹 That kind of love… pure, selfless, and constant… is something I will never stop being grateful for. Mama, you are one of the greatest humans I know. I admire you deeply and pray I become even half the woman you are someday. Thank you for raising us with love, strength, kindness, and sacrifice. We love you so, so much. Happy Mother’s Day to you and to all mothers out there. May God bless you endlessly for all that you do. We have officially begun taking measurements for P We have officially begun taking measurements for Phase 2 of our “Wear to Learn Project” in Sissala East in the Upper West Region. Through the Awisi Foundation, in partnership with @jembiefoundation we are working to provide proper school uniforms for children who need them most. For many of these children, this is more than a uniform. It is confidence and the freedom to learn without feeling left out. We are happy to share that Bediako, the 8-year-old We are happy to share that Bediako, the 8-year-old boy living with cerebral palsy, successfully underwent orthopaedic surgery and has now been discharged from the hospital. All his medical bills have been fully covered by the Awisi Foundation, made possible through the kindness and generosity of 2 anonymous donors.
